The Crow is a website focussing on self-hosting, privacy, security, Linux, and the fringes of technology. It has existed in one form or another since 2019, and for a long time was run from a Raspberry Pi server in the North West of England

The editor, sub-editor, and chief writer positions are all occupied by David Rutland - an NCTJ journalist with experience in Wales, England, the Middle East, and online. Currently, his main occupation is as a News Editor for Static Media.

We've hit the front page of Hacker News enough times to necessitate the need to move from the Pi to a more resilient service in the form of GitHub pages. The hug of death is real, folks.
